Synopsis & objectives
This conference is motivated by the increasing number of applications of optics and photonics in a wide range of areas such as optical telecommunications, optical diagnostic in health and industry, detection of pollutants, etc. Many of these applications have been developed thanks to the achievement of laser sources. Coherent sources have undergone significant advances with the emergence of ultra-short pulses lasers in a wide range of wavelengths. Photonics has also benefited from nanotechnologies which open new emerging fields as nanophotonics and nano-optics.
This is the fourth edition of ICOPA which was located in Algiers for the two previous editions. The conference aims to gather scientists from all around the world to share their experience and results on optics and photonics. Students and young researchers are particularly invited to participate to the conference with reduced registration fees. It is also intended to favour fruitful discussions and to arouse scientific collaborations.
